In the L/L Writing class we had to make a literary essay about a story we read in class. I decided writing about "The Prison ".   "The Prison", written by Bernard Malamud was a story about a man called Tommy, that worked in a candy shop because he had stolen in the past, but he was very sad there. One day a girl appeared and while Tommy was not looking she started stealing. When Tommy realized that, he did not know how to tell her to stop. This essay will analyze the characters: Tommy and The little girl of "The Prison".   Tommy was the main character, he always wanted to be a shoemaker but in the past he had stolen a liquor store; so his father, made a treat with Rosa´s father and made them married and work in a candy shop; and he was not happy with that. Pacific ring of fire facts The Pacific ring of fire is a horseshoe of islands in differents parts of the world with a lot of volcanic activity, maybe because they are near areas where tectonic plates are. The ring of fire contains 75% of volcanoes in the world. Volcanoes in the area It is belief that the ring of fire has 452 volcanoes, some of the most active are there for example Mt Fuji in Japan, Mt. Saint Helens and Mt. Rainier in the American North West, Krakatoa in Indonesia, Mauna Loa in Hawaii, Galeras in Colombia and Sangay in Ecuador. These volcanoes can be really dangerous for human population.
